HOW-TO-USE INSTRUCTIONS
Getting Started with Your Sweater Spinner
Good news: if you can knit or crochet, you can definitely use a Sweater Spinner. Here's how to get the most out of your new favorite tool.
_____
For Sweaters & Large Projects
Step 1: Set Up Your Space
Place your Sweater Spinner on a stable surface—your table, lap desk, or favorite knitting spot. Make sure it can rotate freely without bumping into things.
Step 2: Load Your Project
Gently place your work-in-progress into the Spinner base. The raised sides will keep it contained, so don't worry about it sliding off.
Step 3: Just Keep Knitting (or Crocheting!)
Work on your project like you normally would. As you knit in the round or turn your work, the Spinner will rotate naturally along with your movements. That's it! No special technique required—just let the base do its spinning thing while you focus on your stitches.
Pro Tips:
• For sweaters worked in the round, the body will rotate as you move around the needles
• For flat pieces like blankets, the Spinner helps when you're turning your work at the end of rows • The heavier your project gets, the more you'll appreciate not having to lift it constantly!
_____
For Yarn Management & Detangling
Step 1: Load Your Yarn
Place one or more yarn cakes or balls into the Spinner base. The sides keep them from rolling away and getting into mischief.
Step 2: Spin to Untwist
When your working yarn gets twisted (because it always does), hold the yarn gently above the Spinner with one hand. With your other hand, rotate the base in the direction that untwists the yarn. Watch those tangles disappear!
Step 3: Keep Working
Your yarn stays organized in the Spinner, always ready to feed smoothly into your project.
Pro Tips:
• This is especially helpful when working with multiple colors for colorwork or stripes
• Great for center-pull cakes that like to collapse and tangle
• Keep your Spinner near your project bag for easy yarn access
_____
Care & Maintenance Keeping Your Spinner Happy:
• Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed
• The smooth rotation should stay consistent—if it gets sticky, check for dust or fiber buildup and clean
gently
• Store in a dry place when not in use (though let's be honest, when is that?)
